Bushfire Emergency - Summer of '19 & '20
The devastating and protracted dry that saw much of NSW go into drought from Spring 2017 and then to the end of 2019 when we all thought it could not get any worse, caused great concern for emergency resources such as the Rural Fire Service - RFS.
John McIntyre Excavations has been a partner with the RFS for many years, and when they call we are ready to mobilise.
October 2019 saw many fire sites break out due to the drought, the unusual early temperature increases and the fuel load, not to mention the dry air - which only added to the issues of fires starting with little combustion needed.
John McIntyre Excavations worked extensively with the RFS across the Liverpool Range area providing critical support on ground to the fires at Nundle, Crawney, Wallabadah, Hanging Rock and Barrington Tops. John and his team worked around the clock providing dozers and float to the RFS and supported them throughout the catastrophic Summer of 2019-2020. Both John and son Liam are also active members of the RFS and support this vital work to protect us and our homes and farms.

The Kenworth and Haulmark float move all the gear from site to site. John is pretty handy on getting it where it needs to be.
